Table of Contents Chapter 1 will introduce the main principles if ASIT, explain the importance of innovation and why conventional means such as market research and Brainstorming are not much help. In Chapter 2 we'll discuss the Closed World principle, which is at the heart of the ASIT method, in depth. Examples and case studies will be provided to convince you of the importance that this principle has on our thinking, and its enormous contribution. Chapters 3 through 8 will deal with ASIT's tools for developing new ideas for products. No more brainstorming and ideas floating in the air. With ASIT, the ideation process will be systematically organized, and if there's a good idea, we're guaranteed to find it! Chapter 3 will deal with the Sacrifice tool in depth. We'll learn to determine when to use it and how to come up with winning ideas quickly. In Chapter 4 we'll learn about the Parasitic Product that's an extension of the Sacrifice tool. The basis of this tool is the idea that we can transfer some of the functionality of our products onto other products. (The same way in which parasites in nature use other creatures to fulfill their needs, but unlike nature, here both products can benefit). In Chapter 5 we'll discuss the Unification tool that is the opposite of the Parasitic Product tool. This chapter will teach us how to "steal" functions or characteristics from other products and offer them to our clients through our product. Chapter 6 will introduce the Multiplication tool and will demonstrate how adding objects that already exist in our product can create a new and exciting product (think about the Big Mac.) Chapter 7 will deal with the Division tool and Chapter 8 will discuss the Breaking Symmetry tool. In Chapter 9 we'll show a detailed example of inventing new products for a company that deals in greeting cards over the Internet. You'll get the chance to actually look over my shoulder and see how I use ASIT to create 25 new ideas! In Chapter 10 we'll discuss how to use ASIT in a team setting.
